Brian Tanguay with the Howard Clock works

April 10th, 2014
The Gardner Museum
is proud to host a presentation on
The Old Clock Tower

Representing the Narragansett Historical Society of Templeton, Curator and Trustee Brian Tanguay, will present a narrated slide show featuring the removal, restoration, and installation of the Edward Howard Tower Clock formerly housed in the steeple of the Baldwinville Baptist Church. Originally purchased by the townspeople of Baldwinville in 1872 from the Boston clock builder, this clock has been sitting with the birds for over 30 years. See how it went from a rusted box of wheels into one of the most beautiful time pieces you will ever see. The clock will be on permanent display for the public to see at the Narragansett Historical Society's second building on Hubbardston Rd., formerly called the Grange Hall.
