November 8 through December 1 - Eighth Annual Festival of Trees
Mark your calendar – the dates have been set! November 8, 2012 through December 1, 2012, the Eighth Annual Festival of Trees will take place at The Gardner Museum, 28 Pearl St., Gardner. The Wednesday, November 7, Tree Kickoff is by invitation only. Event sponsors are Carriage House Restaurant, Colonial Co-operative Bank, Mack Family Funeral homes, Mount Wachusett Community College, People’s Fuel, Inc. and The Gardner News. This is an ongoing exhibit of various sized decorated artificial Christmas trees, each one with a special theme, along with wreaths, baskets and other items.
Also for raffle will be a small log cabin,
small Victorian dollhouse and a Colonial style dollhouse. The exhibit opens to the public on November 8 and culminates with a raffle on December 1, at 2 p.m.
There are limited hours on December 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A Holiday Social will be held on November 14, with a visit November 24 from Santa Claus. Bring your cameras! Tree pickup is on December 2.
In addition to regular hours Wed. and Thurs. 1-4 p.m., the trees can be viewed during extended Museum hours on Fri. from 1-7 p.m., and Sat. and Sun. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.Raffle tickets are $5, and include Museum admission for non-members.The two dollhouses below will be raffled during the 2012 Festival of Trees, coming this November!
